Programs have 2 timelines that stack:
Time to upload = active time spent by decker
Time to effect = processing time in-system after upload. Decker does not have to maintain connection

Device damage affects health pool

Device types:

Devices must have integrated control and access point
Bioware
Converts essence to innate resonance
Replacing or upgrading converts essence if the new resonance is higher
Only 6 resonance of bioware active
Devices have built-in resistance = Rating x 3
Autonomous drones
Module may be inhabited by a sprite
Devices can have programs up to Rating x Resonance.
