Find new tools and compare all alternatives! Because way more exist than what you'll ever find on the app stores!
16 Mar 2026

We are aware of Simply Plural and Octocon's discontinuations and are actively working on the new site (p4p.crd.co) that will reference apps and tools in a much better way than how it is currently on this page. We're in a rush and this is our primary focus. Thank you for your patience. Join our server for more information. Please spread the project so plurals like y'all can find their true alternatives before the deadlines!
Sometimes, you will find yourselves looking for specific apps using multiple keywords because of specific needs, but you end up only finding the same popular apps. If you're looking for plural-centered apps on app stores, it's always Simply Plural, sometimes Octocon as well and… nothing else! The thing is, people have specific needs, and this lack of visible alternatives makes it hard for plurals to find an app that's truly convenient to them.
So that's where we come in — Imagine yourself looking for apps for plurals on any search engine, but instead of just finding a very limited amount of popular apps, you also find the more hidden solutions !
Also, it happens that you just can't find the right thing, so that's where you'll have to think outside the box . We've also covered this: This list not only refers to plural-centered apps, but also has more general apps that can be used for the same purpose! (what if your basic notes app could work for you&?)
Do not limit yourself to just one app; if you can combine multiple apps and it works for you(&), then do it!!
Plus, we offer volunteer help for all of these; don't hesitate to join our support server to get usage help about all these apps ! (more info at the bottom of this page)
To clarify with doubts you(&) may have: There is no "correct" way to use any of these apps. And even if you don't have DID / OSDD, it doesn't mean you "shouldn't" use any of the listed apps. As long as the app is useful to you(&), then you're more than welcome to use it!
All words in italic mean they're referring to the specific app's terms if applicable, or from any general glossary , and you(&) might want to adapt to how you& understand these words (such as not using alter and instead refer to another term for your own plurality ). The 💖 icon simply means it's one of our personal favourites!
Please be aware that this list was made without the intent of partnering with any of the listed apps , nor do we intend to get some kind of profit. We've made this article solely for helping plurals decide which app they really want to use — and what personally worked for us, all of these without involving money.
Map your Inner World
Freeform / Whiteboard
If you're okay with using an app from the big companies: respectively Apple Freeform or Microsoft Whiteboard (depending on your platform), then try out an organization of canvas with endless free space to map your thoughts, such as your inner world . You(&) may want to use one of these as a secondary app and use another for everything else, depending on how you& want to organize.

Public Profiles to introduce yourselves to the Internet

Neocities (Advanced)
Are you a web developer and want near complete freedom in building a site completely at your image? You may want to use Neocities, providing free site hosting under their domain. You write everything on your browser using integrated tools, preview and publish instantly (or if you prefer, use your own desktop tools then just upload the files).
Build your own "Plural Media"
TwiNote
Experience a Twitter-like experience as a private network for your own plurality : Make user profiles, easily switch and make posts using them. You can even direct message each other, make your own Discover feed and simulate pretty much anything from the good original Twitter. It's your plurality's own social network.
PhotoNote
If you(&) prefer a more visual, Instagram-like social experience to express yourselves through image posts. You can create profiles , post pictures using them and add comments. The Discover page features an overview which can be used to track everything that's been happening on your plurality 's network. The "Activity" feed allows posting very short text snippets using the currently switched user .
If you use an iOS device, you may enjoy a more visual, Instagram-like experience to express yourselves through image posts. You can create profiles , post pictures using them and add comments. The Discover page features a calendar view which can be used to track overall activity on your plurality 's network. The "Likes" work like filtering your favourite posts, but you can also add (hash)tags to your posts and browse them like filters.
Interact as yourselves with Proxied Profiles
A Discord bot that allows you(&) to register tuppers and proxy messages using their profiles. It is similar to PluralKit, however, it seems to be more focused to be neutral rather than plural focused, for example it suggests role playing (although both can be used for the same purposes). This tool has an optional Premium subscription to increase tupper limits and allow more customizations, this may not be ideal for very large systems . However, you should try this one if you're a questioning plurality or don't like relying on commands , as this is a great alternative for beginners without being imposed a system terminology, and you can simply rely on a web dashboard.

We're not even done!
There are even more apps that we have yet to gather information to add to the above list — don't hesitate to give us (or them) feedback about these apps! For now, here's a compact list below!

Need help with an app?

Please note: As we're willing to do all at once, not all developers are here! We will do our best to help if you e.g. struggle to do something. This is volunteer work and it's our drive to live in society.
We may have some limitations (e.g. an app's developer isn't there), in that case we can redirect you to the app's official server or one can try to forward it by themself.
You can join our support server here — you don't need verification to ask, just a Discord username is enough.
